If you think that you CAN'T achieve your goals without extra cardio/cutting carbs/slashing cals, the scale going down, etc. then EVERY decision you make, and every action you take will be rooted in that belief.
Your mind is like google, looking to “prove” your beliefs correct. EVEN IF YOU ARE “DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT”
Going through the motions, don’t count. Not if your mind isn’t fully onboard.
The problem isn’t always about what you’re doing, but rather in the WHY behind it. The personal why. The real why. Not just the “I’m doing what you said why” - that’s not enough.
Many of us are failing in our journey because we refuse to dig. You must be willing to DIG DEEPER, so that you can get to the root of what really standing in YOUR way, and uproot that sucker!
It’s time to stop asking what’s missing (food/workouts), and ask what’s MISSING (what mental blocks do I have around this, and how is it stopping me another areas?).
But it doesn’t just stop there. This isn’t all rainbows, unicorns and positive affirmations.
Most skip straight to implement. Some of us lean more heavily on the planning than implementing.
Either way, both are spinning their wheels, and MISSING the link that keeps the whole thing turning.
And the only time we do reflect, it’s flippantly, nonchalantly, or negatively “it always worked before” “it wasn’t this hard before”
Never going deeper into the WHY it wasn’t hard before, or WHY we are placing so much importance on it.
You MUST reflect before you can plan. You must plan before you can implement. You must ACT on the the reflection you’ve done, and the plans you’ve made. And you must rinse and repeat.
If you leave ANY one of these steps out. The entire thing crumbles.
That is how most of us got here: tired, frustrated, hopeless, and desperate.
